How do I use Sonar 6 to make songs with live instruments and MPK49 keyboard controller?

I am a musician taught himself in a "man band", which uses the base ring recording of programs to overcome the limitations of disability and do my music. I bought a controller Akai MPK49 and Sonar 6 Producer Edition recording program to make time, record riffs, and playing live, as the MPK49 is billed as ideal for all that. However, I found frustrations, while simply trying to record both live and midi tracks. I'm used to the simplicity of Acid Pro, and I'm not very good at technical of things yet, but my goal is to find a simple way to make my music through a combination of my Akai MPK49 and live instruments in the studio and live also, however, both Sonar 6 and MPK49 interface is confusing to me. I'm looking for user friendly way to record and play back when the inspiration strikes in Instead of having to put that on hold due to the complexities of both Sonar 6 and the Akai MPK49. I appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Just installed Sonar 7 … Immediately I learned the difference in audio quality. Sonar 7 with some other techniques for heating the audio. Cliping particularly where I found a way to use positive with Sonar 6 and doing my fuller sound. But Sonar 7 with a large amount of compression or something else to keep the audio cliping, in a final result to change my plans. I firmly believe that there should be an option button in Sonar 7, where they say> Use Sonar 6 audio techniques cliping Perhaps to some it sounds weird, but I I made a lot of good songs with audio cut back in the ring 6. Do not want to miss anything! nobody else with the same experience and the same pain?
