Audio Disconnect
Why does my wireless network disconnect everytime I try to stream Audio or Video?
Everytime I try to stream Audio or Video on my laptop using Windows Media Player or Real Player it disconnects itself from the wireless network. It used to work fine but started doing this after I reinstalled windows onto my laptop and my other computer works fine when streaming. I am using the latest drivers for my wireless network card which is a Belkin F5D7011 and use Windows XP Home SP2 as my operating system. My broaband is provided by Virgin Media – M 2MB. Does anyone know how I can fix this so that the laptop doesn’t disconnect itself everytime I try to stream something?
Double check you dont have a neighbours signal interferring.
If they are on the same channel as yo uyou can coexist while using low bandwidth but as soon as you ramp up the bandwith problems can occur.
Change your channel on your router to 4 or 5 as these are least likely to be used as default.
