Sample Scottish Golf at its best with Edinburgh Golf Breaks
As you might expect, Scotland – the home of golf – has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to golf courses and despite its relatively small size, the country has over 550 courses to test golfers of all abilities. Pay a visit to the city during August and you’ll also be treated to the sights and sounds of the international Fringe and Edinburgh Festival; a diverse array of music and arts await, while all year yound you can sample the fine eateries and countless bars dotted around the city. For night owls, Edinburgh’s nightlife is legendary with nightclubs, live music and more available every night of the week.
Getting to Edinburgh is easy too with an extensive rail network linking the city to most major destinations across the UK, including London, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol while Edinburgh International airport is situated only seven miles from the city centre.
For golf, Edinburgh has numerous golf courses in and around the city, such as Mortonhall Golf Club, Royal Burgess, Braid Hills and Silverknowes while there are even more gems a little further afield, including some championship standard courses such as Muirfield, Gullane, Craigielaw and Dalmahoy among many others.
